My starting 11 would be played as a 4-1-2-1-2.
ReplyDeleteRWB - Bosingwa
RCB - Pepe
LCB - Bruno Alves
LWB - Paulo Fereira
CDM - Raul Meireles
RM - Ricardo Quaresma
CAM - Deco
LM - Nani
RS - Cristiano Ronaldo
LS - Liedson
midfield is debatable considering simao is a good player to play on the wing as well.
i can tell you love attacking football, my XI would be a 4-3-3 and have a bit more defense in mind:
ReplyDeleteGoalkeeper - Eduardo
Right Defense - Bosingwa
Central Defense - Ricardo Carvalho
Central Defense - Bruno Alves
Left Defense - Duda
Midfield - Pedro Mendes
Midfield - Ruben Micael
Midfield - Deco
Forward - Ronaldo
Forward - Simao
Striker - Liedson
-Eduardo-
ReplyDeletebosingwa - carvalho - Alves - duda
pepe - tiago
simao - - Ronaldo
deco
liedson
i'd put pepe in before ruben micael, but i stated my XI assuming pepe won't be fit on time, i sure hope i'm wrong though
ReplyDeletethat midfeild position it hard to pick . . . ruben micael, pedero mendes, miguel veloso and the two i have up there, duda could even play there i think. I think simao deco ronaldo and liedson is all a no brainer, it's just the defensive side of the team is what queiroz is gonna be thinking aobut
ReplyDeletei agree, miguel veloso or ruben micael is a tough call, but if pepe isn't healthy, it has to be one of those 2, i put ruben micael because of his current form, but if miguel veloso keeps scoring goals, then i'd prefer his left foot in our starting midfield
ReplyDeleteThe starting 11 will ultimately come down to who is in the best form at the time, however I generally agree with the usual 4-3-3 system in place as it suits the Portuguese style of play and players the seleccao has available. Most of the positions are essentially set in stone. Here are my pics:
ReplyDeleteEduardo; Duda, Bruno Alves, Ricardo Carvalho, Bosingwa; Pepe, Pedro Mendes, Deco; Cristiano Ronaldo, Liedson, Nani/Simao
Whomever is in better form will start out of Simao and Nani. The two spots behind Deco in midfield are the most up for grabs. If Pepe is fit, he plays. The other spot and Pepe's if he is down can go to Tiago, Miguel Veloso, Ruben Micael, Hugo Viana, Nuno Assis, Manuel Fernandes, Raul Meireles or Mendes - all good options, and a good headache for Queiroz.
FORCA!
zhime, the way you speak is so, so .. . seductive
ReplyDeleteI Agree with Zhime! Perfect hardworking team!
ReplyDeleteRicardo Quaresma does not deserve to be on the national team! What he only starts playing good whenever he wants too! I prefer Fabio Coentrao who has been playing better than he is! Same goes with Varela, who has been the dominant player for Porto at the moment!
ReplyDeleteIf only one of the two players could be on the field at one time who would you guys rather have on the wing nani or simao? . . . It's a hard decision but i'd give the start to simao. Let's see how long Nani can keep his current form with man utd, if he keeps being coonsistent he may push simao out of place
ReplyDeletethat's a tough one...nani is in stunning form right now, and simao has been in great form all season, simao is the proven, more consistent performer, but if nani finishes off in great fashion this year, it will be a decision for queiroz that may very well depend souly on who the opposition is in that match...either way its good for the seleccao, all this competition will make the boys try harder!
