Will Pepe be fit on time?

With less than 125 days until the World Cup kicks off in South Africa, Pepe is in a tight race against the clock to get fit and figure into Portugal's plans for the tournament...

If he does not recover on time, what will Pepe's absence mean to Portugal's chances?

  2. i believe pepe is the best in the world in his position, so losing him is like losing ronaldo up front, lets keep our fingers crossed

  3. Pepe is a world class player. His combination of athleticism, tackling ability and skill are nearly unmatched. What does this loss mean? It's devastating in one sense because there is no other player like him. On the other hand, it does give opportunities to the many midfielders the seleccao has available to them.

I do not believe he will be ready or in game shape in time for the world cup, however, and hope Queiroz has the balls to make the right choice and not force him into the squad if he's not fit.

  4. Exactly, I know there is panic out there about Pepe not being ready for the world cup. The time line the Doctors have given are when Pepe should be healed from the injury and not match ready. Quieroz will have to make his squad decision before Pepe is even fit to train. Pepe is probably under strict rule not to train right now(it is real payig him the big bucks) No way the Madrid organization will allow him to play right after injury at the world cup.

We will have to look elsewhere for someone to replace him or change something up in the back to make up for his abscence. He is a big loss, but someone will pull through. I ain't scuured. I ain't never scuured
