Portugal limped to an insipid, uninspiring victory over the Chinese yesterday. Although we had the lion's share of possession, complete control from the opening whistle, and looked rather comfortable on the ball, it was still a victory that lacked a cutting edge in front of the opposition's goal. We came close several times - including a Chinese clearance off their goal line, and a couple cracks of the framework - but we simply didn't punish them and bury our chances as we should have. This concerns me because when we come up against better opposition at the World Cup, the number of chances will be far fewer, and if our conversion rate remains the same, we just won't have a chance at winning anything! What particularly irked me was in the second half when Hugo Almeida dropped to the left wing, and took the responsibility of sending in cross after cross...First of all, he is a STRIKER, and secondly, he was our largest threat up front, he should be on the end of the crosses, not delivering them! Some could argue that the wholesale changes at the half compromised the fluidity created by the initial XI, but I say that's a bunch of bullocks! If we truly have one of the best squads in the world, then even our bench should be able to take care of the 83rd FIFA ranked Chinese!
Yap ! Some scary stuff indeed. It seemd that the Portuguese were not into the game whole heartedly, i think they took the chineese for less than what they were. Our build up was good, especially coming from the back even though we were missing pepe carvalho and bosingwa. I noticed that we crossed alot of balls into the box alright. (Which is good because we have always had big problems crossing the balls in hard enough i think) It was our finnishing that was not spot on, and even our second goal some could argue was a fluke shot wide and deflected into the opposing direction by liedsons quad.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that if the Liedson played the first half with Simao and Ronaldo we would have had a few more goals.
I have another feeling that if Nuno Gomes was just brought on with the team as a bench warmer, just his glowing hair alone from the bench would distract the acrobatic Chinese keeper and he wouldnt have made half those saves.
Smarten up seleccao das quinas, or someone is gonna get a pounding in the WC !
I think this is all to blame due to the New jerseys, there simply not tight enough. Right from kick-off you can tell Simao felt disorientated (probably due to the fact that his nipples were able to breathe) & Ronaldo lacked the chest popping passion he usually has. it's okay boys, maybe before stepping on the field for next game somebody should be standing in the tunnel with a blow-dryer so you guys can shrink that eco-shit to the guns & intimidate those mutha fuc*as! PREACH!!
ReplyDeletehahahaha well said, but y u gotta be anonymoussssss giiiirrl
ReplyDeletehaha funny post. Let's hope they do get those tighter jerseys because if not i dont see them winning 1 game this world cup. I call a 2-0 loss to ivory coast, 1-1 tie to south korea and a 2-1 loss to brazil. Sorry guys but the Azzuri is taking it all again this year !!!
ReplyDeleteAZZURI!!!! u must be out ur f*ckn mind, u can only get extremely lucky so often, da f*ck outta here
ReplyDeleteHEY MAN! I TELL YOU TO F*CK OFF MEHN! THEY ASKED ME TO COACH REAL MADRID, I TELL THEM TO F*CK OFFFF! THEAT TEAM DONT KNOW HOW TO KEEK DE BALL WIT DE LACES PRA FORA, HARD COM FORCA! EH PAH, F*CK OFF MEHN!
ReplyDeleteK Serious matter... Like Neves said, Queroz is a douche bag for putting Hugo Almeida playing left mid. WTF, hes a striker. Still Shitty in my opinion but hes a lazy striker. Its like the last game when Queroz subbed Coentrao into the game, where the guy only plays on the left side for Benfica (defence or mid), instead he was playing as a right mid lol. Yea I think Simao should play in net for our next game... Fuck lol!
Maybe I could be wrong but Im very very scared for Portugal right now knowing the World Cup is a few months away. I wish we wouldve went for Guus Hiddink to be our national coach when we had the chance.
Also, I hope they try out Makukula who already has 15 goals in the turkish league. Maybe not the best league in the world but there are some good teams. And if Makukula is racking up more goals than Hugo Almeida and plays the same role, why not give the guy a fair shot.
6 guys I would like to see at the world cup for Portugal are: Danny, Makukula, Meira, Manuel Fernandes, Maniche, Joao Pereira
4 guys I would tell the to F*ck off are: Hugo Almeida, Tiago, Moutinho, Edinho.
Sorry guys, if some of these players are ur favs and should stay on the team, well I tell you to f*ck off!
jk
You must be good to be lucky ;) AZZURIIIIII

If you are talking about fun beyond football then you must be thinking about freestyle soccer. Freestyle soccer is commonly known as freestyle football. This sport is a marvelous combination of technical athletic moves of the body with complete control on a football. Freestyle Football is a sport of imagination, creativity and amazing ball control. This sport is a real display of entertainment and fun. Freestyle football performers can be taught performers but mostly are seen self made. Performers keenly observe the players and then they follow the techniques of their favorite players. Every technique requires full dedication, involvement, judgment, sharp movements, and complete concentration.
